Learn to Effetively Use Committees and Volunteers

Now that you have:
  1. Developed Your mission statement
  2. Made your list of goals and written them down
  3. Discussed with your pastor his goals for the youth of the church
  4. Shared with your pastor your list of goals asked him to evaluate the list and make suggestions of activities that he would like to see offered
  5. Scheduled your calendar of activities
  6. Discussed your calendar of activities with your pastor
  7. Discussed your calendar of activities with the other staff
  8. Presented your calendar of activities with the youth committee
  9. Presented your calendar of activities with the youth council
  10. Adopted your Calendar of Activities for the coming year as the official youth activities calendar.

 

You are now ready to make your plans.  Once you have your calendar planned, you begin planning specific details for each activity whether it is a Bible Study, Camp, Retreat, Fellowship, Trip, Recreational Activity or Youth led Revival.  Planning the activities that will help accomplish the goals that you have adopted requires a lot of planning and hard work. 

This is where working with committees and volunteers becomes very important.
